You have great choice in Beccles itself, with a large Morrisons, Tescos, and Lidl in walking distance, as well as a small Co Op in New Market in the town centre.
Beccles is an ancient market town, mentioned in the Doomesday Book 1086. The market operates on Friday mornings and sells fresh veg, eggs, bread and often clothing items and the town also has several butchers and a travelling fish van.
Further afield Bungay has an excellent deli- Earsham Street Deli, and several small independent shops, as does Halesworth, both worth a visit.
